I certainly think Bush's gov't has been, is, and will abuse my patriotism, and that of most who will vote GOP. But the Dems seem more eager to score little anti-Bush rhetorical points than to make America safer, or the world better.

Iraq, and surviving Iraqis, are better for the liberation from an evil. That's good. No matter how terrible Bush is in other ways, Bush did a really big, good thing.

If (when?) North Korea uses a nuke, will that justify a pre-emptive strike against Iraq? I think so, and fear so, but am certain the idiotarians will blame the US. Iraq was a threat. I sort of wish Clinton had pushed and shoved harder on NK, so that it could have remained a smaller threat. Iraq is certainly part of the WOT, though not certainly requiring an invasion. But the goodness of the liberation is based on sure humanitarian grounds.
